Reflective House Numbers

All newly constructed homes in White Bluff are required to have reflective house numbers displayed near the street. Owners of previously built homes are STRONGLY encouraged to add these numbers to their curb if they have not already done so.

Because of the non-standard house numbering system we have within White Bluff, it can be difficult for first responders to find a home quickly during an emergency. A few years ago, the WB VFD was called to a residence for a suspected heart attack. It was the middle of the night, and pitch black. The residence did not have reflective house numbers displayed at the street and this cost the VFD extra time locating the home. Luckily, the delay had no impact on the prognosis. But, next time, it might.

The WB VFD sells a pair of street numbers for $30 including installation. If you wish to purchase these online via a credit card or Paypal, use the form below. Be sure to include your name, email, street address, and phone number. A member of the VFD will contact you to arrange installation.

For more information or to order these over the phone, you can email the VFD or call them at 254-694-HELP.

BBQ & Street Dance Fundraiser
Saturday, October 20, 2018

The White Bluff Volunteer Fire Department BBQ & Street Dance Fundraiser will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 5 pm - 9 pm. The event is held at the VFD building located at 20016 Misty Valley Circle.

The main focus of fundraising this year will be for our new tanker truck as well as other much needed items for our firefighters and firehouse.

Our new water tanker arrived June 7th. This tanker is an important vehicle because of the lack of fire hydrants in the area.  It has already been on approximately 20 calls in its first two months.

This truck is a 2008 International chassis with a 350 hp diesel engine.  The tank pump and everything behind the cab is new.  This new tanker holds 3,000 gallons of water and has a 500 gallon / minute pump.  This invaluable equipment cost $157,000, and has made approximately 20 calls in the first two months that WBVFD has been in possession of it. This truck goes out on every fire and is often requested by other departments in the county because there are no fire hydrants.  This vehicle is helping White Bluff and the surrounding county as it brings much needed water to fires.
